Apple on Thursday shared the winners of its 2025 App Store Awards, recognising 17 apps and games across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Apple TV, Apple Arcade, and Apple Vision Pro. The awards celebrate apps and games for their innovative design, cultural relevance, and positive impact on users globally.

“This year's winners represent the creativity and excellence that define the App Store, and they demonstrate the meaningful impact that world-class apps and games have on people everywhere,” said Apple CEO Tim Cook.

iPhone App and Game of the Year

  • App of the Year: Tiimo, an AI planner and to-do app

    • Tiimo beat competition from BandLab and LADDER.

    • The app was also a finalist in the Apple Design Awards 2024.

  • Game of the Year: Pokemon TCG Pocket by The Pokemon Company

    • Won over Capybara Go! and Thronefall.

iPad App and Game of the Year

  • App of the Year: Detail, an AI-powered video editing app

    • Users can record or import videos and use auto-edit features to create shorts and full-length content.

  • Game of the Year: DREDGE by Black Salt Games

    • Beat competitors Infinity Nikki and Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown.

Mac App and Game of the Year

  • App of the Year: Essayist, an academic writing application

  • Game of the Year: Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition by CD Projekt Red

    • Triumphs over Assassin's Creed: Shadows and Neva.

Apple Arcade and Apple Vision Pro Winners

  • Apple Arcade Game of the Year: WHAT THE CLASH? by Triband ApS
