Apple Announces Many Features Including New iPhone Software

Tech giant Apple Inc at its Worldwide Developer Conference on Monday, announced the updated iPhone lock screen and a pay-later option along with many new software features and services. Apple has been waiting for a long time for the Pay Later payment feature, which has been added to its Wallet app. Bloomberg had informed about the arrival of this service in one of its previous reports. This is a big part of Apple's efforts to increase penetration in the world of finance.

According to Apple CEO Tim Cook, Apple will announce the key features through a presentation during this week-long event. Additionally, Apple's new iPhone software will also include a new lock screen in iOS 16, allowing users to view personalized features and widgets. Senior Vice President Craig Federighi said at the event that a feature called Live Activities will make it easier to track events or activities such as an NBA game, or an Uber ride.

Software features or updates are usually introduced a few months before the launch of Apple's new iPhone. Software features accounted for more than half of the company's revenue during the last financial year. On the other hand, Apple's CarPlay is undergoing extensive changes to CarPlay, which will make adding vehicle instruments like speedometers and other gauges more strict.
