Angan Guha Wipro’s Senior Executive In America Quits

Angan Guha, a senior executive at Wipro who was responsible for a third of the company's overall business, has left the company. This is the fourth top-level departure at the fourth-largest technology services company in the nation in the past two months.

Americas 2 Strategic Market Unit, which accounted for 31.3% of Wipro's $2.8 billion in revenue from July through September, was under Guha's direct control for the biggest portion of the company's business.

Apparently, Suzanne Dann has been chosen by Wipro Ltd to replace Guha. This information comes from an official with inside knowledge. Last April, Dann started working for Wipro.

Guha managed the business from customers in the manufacturing and hi-tech sector, the energy and utility sector, and the banking and financial services sector while serving as the chief executive officer of Wipro's Americas 2 Strategic Market Unit.

Guha's departure is the latest setback for CEO Thierry Delaporte, who is battling to assemble a solid leadership group in the face of worries about faltering growth and diminishing profitability.

Tomoaki Takeuchi, who joined Wipro in February as head of business for Japan, and Douglas Silva, who was given the responsibility of managing business in Brazil in January of last year, both left the company last week. The managing director of Australia and New Zealand since April of last year, Sarah Adam-Gedge, has also relocated. Mohammed Areff, Wipro's head of business for the Middle East region, who joined in September of last year, has also departed the company.
