Google to bring Android 12L to Samsung, Lenovo and Microsoft devices

Google has announced to bring Android 12L operating system to Samsung, Lenovo and Microsoft devices later in 2022. 

The new operating system brings changes to the home screen, lock screen, notification window, device setup screen and settings. The changes are primarily designed to provide the user with more information on the screen.

Andrei Popescu, the VP of Engineering for Android at Google has said that the company is introducing 12L, an update to Android 12 with features that will make tablets and foldable simpler and easier to use. He further said that the company will continue to build more features and functionalities to help users make the most of their devices in Android 13 and beyond. 

The company recently announced Android 12L, a version of Android 12 optimized for tablets, foldable devices and Chrome OS devices. In addition to Android 12L, Google has also announced new features in the operating system and play better support these devices.

This includes an update to the material design guide for large screen devices, but also an update to Jetpack Compose to simplify the construction of these machines and allow the app to easily adapt to different screen orientations and sizes.
