News Synopsis

Airbus CCO’s big statement regarding Air India and Tata has come out. Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the Annual General Meeting of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) held in Doha, Airbus Chief Commercial Officer Christian Scherer said on Sunday that Air India International passenger market share wants to invest investment in new aircraft.

Christian Scherer also said that the company is restructuring itself under the able leadership of the Tata Group. Whereas during this time he was seen avoiding reacting to the A350 aircraft order. After the meeting, when Christian Scherer was asked whether Air India had finalized the A350 aircraft order with Airbus? He declined to comment on this.

At the same time, it is worth noting that his statement has come after it was reported last week that Tata Group-owned Air India has decided to buy its first batch of wide-sized A350 aircraft from Airbus.

It was also said in this report that by March 2023, the first aircraft would also be given to the airline. Whereas, the report did not clarify how many A-350 aircraft Air India is planning to buy.
