News Synopsis

Addverb technologies has received a robot order worth $1 billion from Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries. The robots need to be equipped with 5G technology. Reliance Industries invested $132 million in the robotics startup and acquired a majority stake. The robots are expected to be delivered in the next 4 to 5 years.  The robots ordered will be used in reliance’s Jamnagar facility and to test 5g capabilities, they will try to operate them from their headquarter in Mumbai. Robotics technology is emerging as the leading sector in the tech world. More and more emphasis on automation is put in industries all around the world. The startup provides an intra-logistics automation solution  It builds robotics and automation solutions for factories and warehouses. The startup said that it will use its dynamo 200 bots for the Jamnagar factory. In addition to this, another series of dynamo bots with a 1-ton payload capacity will also be used.
