2021 was a challenging year: Suresh Narayanan

Packaged foods company Nestle India MD said that 2021 was a very challenging year for the company. The company said that they are looking at opportunities and solutions to increase operations efficiencies and optimize cost in order to beat inflation and sustain their revenues. Nestle India managing director Suresh Narayanan said: “We continue to witness high inflation in our key raw and packaging materials, where many are at 10-year highs. However, we will continue to make all efforts towards systematic efficiencies to mitigate the impact”. He said despite unfavorable circumstances and situations, Nestle did fairly well. In the fourth quarter, Company’s net profit fell by 20%. Nestle also reported an 8% profit from Rs 3,417 crore to Rs 3,706 crore.
