Chinese EV maker XPENG has reportedly launched the G9 flagship electric SUV in its local market. The fourth generation G9 electric lineup consists of three series with different driving range configurations. According to a report, their names are RWD 570G, RWD 570E, RWD 702E, 4WD Performance 650E, 4WD Performance 650X, and Launch Edition 650X.
According to Gizmochina, XPENG has launched several electric car models in its G9 lineup. The G9 lineup is priced between 309,900 Yuan (approximately Rs 35.45 lakh) to 469,900 Yuan (approximately Rs 53.72 lakh) in China. The deliveries of the lineup are likely to begin in October.
The report says that XPENG aims to make the G9 a new benchmark for smart EVs. The new powertrain system of the G9 comes with supercharging capabilities. The company reportedly claims that it can provide a driving range of up to 200 km on a five-minute charge. This means that the G9 model can be fully charged in less than 30 minutes. Reports suggest that XPENG is rapidly expanding its network of charging stations across China. The G9 lineup electric SUV can get a maximum range of 702 km, while the lowest range is said to be 460 km.
The 4WD Performance 650E and 650X models are equipped with a dual-chamber air suspension system. A major highlight of the G9 EV is its autonomous driving system. The model is equipped with an industry-first full-scenario advanced driver assistance system. It has a 5D-level music system called Xopera.
