Walmart will hire more than 3000 US drivers to expand its “in-home” delivery service. Walmart Inc said that it plans to build a fleet of all-electric delivery vans to employ US delivery drivers and provide its customers with their "in-home" grocery delivery service.
The retailer said it currently has about 100 drivers. It is expected to reach 30 million homes by the end of the year. Their services are reaching 6 million homes so far.
Walmart, based in Bentonville, Arkansas, launched its in-home delivery service in 2019, through which employees deliver groceries directly to shoppers' homes, sometimes placing items directly in kitchens or garage refrigerators when people are not home.
