Volkswagen has officially introduced the Volkswagen Tayron R-Line in India at an introductory price of ₹46.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The launch marks the German automaker’s entry into the premium 7-seater SUV segment in the country, competing with established models in the full-size SUV space.
Pre-bookings for the SUV had commenced earlier this month for a token amount of ₹51,000. The model is being assembled in India as a completely knocked-down (CKD) unit at Volkswagen’s Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar manufacturing facility.
