Vivo has begun teasing its next-generation V-series smartphone, the Vivo V60, through its official X (formerly Twitter) handle. The teasers hint at a major design shift compared to its predecessors, the V40 and V50 series. Accompanying leaks and renders have already surfaced online, giving a clear idea of what to expect.
Unlike the previous V-series models, the Vivo V60 features a design similar to the recently launched Vivo X200 FE. It houses a capsule-shaped rear camera module and features slightly curved 2.5D edges. These gentle curves promise a more ergonomic in-hand feel compared to the flat-edged design of the X200 FE.
The front of the phone sports a hole-punch display with ultra-thin bezels, giving it a premium look. Vivo is likely aiming to deliver a device that not only performs well but also feels flagship-like in aesthetics.
The Vivo V60 is expected to launch on August 12 in India. While the official pricing is yet to be confirmed, industry insiders suggest the phone could be priced between Rs 37,000 and Rs 40,000, slightly higher than the Vivo V50’s launch price of Rs 34,999.
According to known tipster Pro Tech Village, the Vivo V60 will come with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display featuring a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. These specs should offer a vivid and fluid viewing experience, ideal for gaming, streaming, and general use.
Under the hood, the device is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC. This mid-range processor also powers phones like the Realme 15 Pro and is known for balanced performance and energy efficiency.
The V60 will be available in three elegant color options at launch:
Mist Grey
Moonlit Blue
Auspicious Gold
Each color complements the phone's sleek design, making it attractive to a wide range of users.
One of the key highlights of the Vivo V60 is its triple rear camera setup, developed in collaboration with ZEISS. It includes:
A 50MP primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS)
A 50MP 3x periscope telephoto lens with OIS
An 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens
Additionally, Vivo has confirmed that the phone will offer 100x digital zoom, making it a strong choice for mobile photography enthusiasts. For selfies and video calls, the front is equipped with a 50MP camera.
Battery life will be another standout feature of the Vivo V60. It is said to pack a 6,500mAh battery, one of the largest in this segment. Along with this, the phone will support 90W fast charging, ensuring minimal downtime for heavy users.
To enhance durability, the Vivo V60 is expected to arrive with an IP68 and IP69 rating for dust and water resistance. This means the phone will be able to handle accidental splashes and dusty environments with ease.
