Chinese smartphone giant Vivo has officially launched its next-gen premium Android smartphones—Vivo X200 Ultra and Vivo X200 S—in China. These devices boast cutting-edge hardware, camera advancements, and ultra-fast charging support. The Ultra model is positioned as Vivo’s most advanced camera phone yet, while the X200 S offers top-tier performance at a slightly lower price point. There is no confirmation yet on their India launch.
The Vivo X200 Ultra is designed with photography enthusiasts in mind. It features a 6.82-inch QHD+ LTPO AMOLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and 4,500 nits of peak brightness, making it one of the brightest smartphone displays in the market.
Powering the device is the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. While the China variant runs on OriginOS based on Android 15, the global version, if launched, is expected to ship with FunTouch OS 15, also based on Android 15.
Vivo has packed the X200 Ultra with an advanced triple rear camera system:
50MP Sony LYT-818 main sensor
200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP9 periscope telephoto lens with 85mm focal length
50MP ultra-wide Sony LYT-818 sensor
On the front, there’s a 50MP selfie camera tucked into a punch-hole cutout. The phone supports 4K video recording at 120fps, and Dolby Vision recording at 4K 60fps.
To elevate the imaging experience, Vivo integrates its Vivo V3+ ISP and the newly introduced VS1 image platform, enhancing features like exposure control, focus precision, and multi-frame image stacking.
Vivo also offers a Photography Kit with accessories like a 2.35x teleconverter, USB-C grip, carrying case, strap, and an external 2,300mAh battery pack.
The X200 Ultra is equipped with a 6,000mAh battery, which supports 90W fast wired and 40W wireless charging. The base model is priced at CNY 6,499 in China.
