During the Annual India Leadership Summit organized by the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) in New Delhi, Sachit Ahuja, President of Tillman Global Holdings, applauded India's impressive strides in the telecommunications sector. He emphasized that India has successfully established itself as a global leader in wireless technology, with its ecosystem ranking second only to China.
In his address, Ahuja underscored the collaborative efforts between India's central and state governments in overcoming challenges related to connectivity and infrastructure development.
"We have witnessed strong collaboration between states and the central government to channel capital into infrastructure development and overcome accessibility challenges. India now has one of the greatest wireless ecosystems, second only to China, and it is set to grow even further," Ahuja stated.
Alex Rogers, President of Technology Licensing (QTL) and Global Affairs at Qualcomm, also spoke at the summit, highlighting India’s burgeoning potential in artificial intelligence (AI). He pointed to the country's growing talent pool of semiconductor design engineers and Qualcomm's role in fostering AI innovation.
Rogers noted, "In India, we now have 15,000 semiconductor design engineers. Indian engineers developing AI applications need platforms, and we are providing them with platforms for Edge-AI devices through our Edge AI Labs. We also have a dedicated group focused on the development of women engineers and entrepreneurs."
The USISPF summit, which kicked off on Sunday, saw active participation from key government officials and industry leaders. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar was involved in significant discussions with the forum’s Board of Directors.
