TVS Motor Company, headquartered in Chennai, has taken a bold step into the premium scooter segment with the launch of the TVS Ntorq 150, India’s first hyper sport scooter. This is the company’s second major launch within a week under the leadership of Chairman Sudarshan Venu, who assumed the role on August 25.
Priced at ₹1,19,000, the Ntorq 150 is positioned as the fastest and most technologically advanced scooter in the Indian market, designed especially for performance enthusiasts and Gen Z riders.
This launch comes just days after the company unveiled the TVS Orbiter, an electric scooter priced at ₹99,900, marking TVS’s aggressive push to dominate multiple two-wheeler segments.
According to Gaurav Gupta, President, India Two-Wheeler Business, TVS Motor Company, the sporty scooter segment is rapidly expanding.
“There is high demand for sporty scooters in the country, a high-growth segment. The sporty scooter industry is around 70,000 to 80,000 units a month, out of the total 500,000 scooters we sell. Over the last two years, while two-wheeler growth has been 2 per cent, the scooter segment has grown by 6 per cent, and sporty scooters by 11 per cent,” Gupta explained.
TVS Motor has already invested around ₹100 crore to develop the Ntorq 150, highlighting its commitment to performance-oriented products.
The Ntorq 150 is powered by a 149.7cc, air-cooled, O3CTech engine, capable of delivering 14.2 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in just 6.3 seconds and hit a top speed of 104 km/h, making it India’s quickest scooter in the hyper sport category.
The scooter brings several first-in-segment features, including:

A standout element of the Ntorq 150 is its high-resolution TFT cluster, which packs over 50 smart features. This includes Alexa and smartwatch integration, live location tracking, navigation assistance, and OTA (over-the-air) updates.

TVS Motor is not stopping with just the Orbiter and Ntorq 150. The company has announced plans to launch six new Norton Motorcycle models between late 2025 and early 2026, expanding its premium motorcycle portfolio globally.
