TVS Motor Company has officially entered the adventure rally tourer segment with the launch of the all-new Apache RTX 300 in India. Priced at an introductory ₹1.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the motorcycle introduces TVS’s next-generation RT-XD4 engine platform. Designed for both highway cruising and off-road adventures, the Apache RTX combines performance, precision engineering, and long-touring comfort.
The Apache RTX 300 is powered by a 299.1cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, four-stroke DOHC engine that produces 36PS of peak power at 9,000 rpm and 28.5Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox, fuel injection system, and assist-and-slipper clutch for smooth gear shifts.
Built on the new RT-XD4 platform, the engine features dual overhead cams, dual oil pumps, dual cooling jackets, and a dual breather system to enhance performance, thermal efficiency, and lubrication. It also supports ethanol-blended fuels while delivering lower emissions and high reliability.
The Apache RTX comes with four ride modes – Urban, Rain, Tour, and Rally – which adjust engine response, traction control, and ABS based on riding conditions. A bi-directional quickshifter and ride-by-wire throttle further enhance performance for rally-style riding.
TVS emphasizes that the bike combines its racing legacy and 20 years of Apache experience with innovations in long-distance touring, offering refinement and agility for both tarmac and off-road trails.
The motorcycle features long-travel WP suspension for a comfortable ride across rough surfaces. The inverted cartridge fork at the front and mono-tube floating piston (MFP) shock absorber at the rear provide improved rigidity, damping, and stability.
Rally-inspired ergonomics include a low seat height, balanced rider triangle, and even weight distribution, ensuring confidence and control on highways and off-road terrains alike.
The Apache RTX is equipped with a five-inch TFT instrument cluster that offers Bluetooth connectivity, map mirroring, and cruise control. Additional features include a tyre pressure monitoring system, linear traction control, and adjustable levers for rider comfort and safety.
TVS offers the Apache RTX in five striking colors – Viper Green, Metallic Blue, Pearl White, Lightning Black, and Tarn Bronze, with Apache Red accents. The motorcycle features a mono-volume silhouette integrating the tank and headlamp, muscular rally-inspired lines, and Class-D headlamps with dynamic DRLs. Tail-lamp blades with speed-linked intensity control add to the premium look.
The Apache RTX supports a range of optional accessories for touring, including:
Raised front beak and bash plate
Tank and knuckle guards
Rear hugger fender
USB charger and modular mounts for luggage
GIVI top box and panniers using a quick-release Monolock system
These features make it ideal for adventure riders seeking both performance and practicality.
TVS will offer the Apache RTX in three variants to cater to different rider preferences:
Base Variant – ₹1.99 lakh (ex-showroom)
Top Variant – ₹2.14 lakh (ex-showroom)
Build-to-Order (BTO) Variant – ₹2.29 lakh (ex-showroom)
The launch expands TVS’s premium motorcycle portfolio and strengthens its presence in the growing adventure touring segment in India.
