TVS Motor Company has expanded its popular Jupiter range with the launch of the Jupiter 125 Dual Tone SmartXonnect variant, priced at ₹88,942 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new model is now available across authorized TVS dealerships nationwide and is designed to appeal to urban commuters looking for a blend of style, practicality, and smart features.
The updated Jupiter 125 gets a stylish makeover with two new dual-tone colour options – Ivory-Brown and Ivory-Grey. Alongside the new paint schemes, TVS has introduced redesigned body panels and a refreshed seat layout to enhance its visual appeal and comfort.
These changes are aimed at riders who prioritize both functionality and a premium feel in their daily commute. The new seat design also adds to rider and pillion comfort, making it ideal for city traffic and longer commutes alike.
A key addition to this new variant is the SmartXonnect suite, which features a digital reverse LCD instrument cluster. This display offers:
Call and SMS notifications
Real-time mileage updates
Low fuel alerts
Trip meter and odometer functions
This makes the Jupiter 125 Dual Tone one of the few scooters in its class to offer advanced connectivity and convenience.
Under the hood, the new Jupiter 125 continues to use the 124.8cc single-cylinder engine, delivering a peak torque of 11.1 Nm at 4,500 rpm. The engine is supported by TVS’s iGO Assist technology, which aids in smooth acceleration while maintaining fuel efficiency—making it ideal for stop-and-go city rides.
TVS claims this variant continues to offer the longest seat in its segment, now paired with a pillion backrest, enhancing long-distance riding comfort.
The Jupiter 125 remains one of the most practical scooters in the 125cc segment. It offers:
33 litres of under-seat storage, capable of fitting two helmets
A 2-litre front glove box for smaller items
Front fuel filler for added convenience
Built on TVS’s Metal Maxx body construction, the scooter uses durable metal panels to ensure longer life and resistance to daily wear and tear.
The latest Jupiter 125 Dual Tone variant also benefits from larger front and rear tyres, providing better grip and ride stability, especially on uneven city roads. This update complements the overall goal of making the scooter more urban-friendly while improving rider confidence and control.
Speaking at the launch, Aniruddha Haldar, Senior Vice President at TVS Motor Company, emphasized that modern scooter buyers see their purchase as an extension of their lifestyle and aspirations. With the success of the Jupiter 110, he stated that upgrading the 125cc lineup was a natural step to provide enhanced features, performance, and digital integration.
TVS continues to position the Jupiter series under its "Zyada Ka Fayda" strategy, promising more features, more comfort, and more value compared to its rivals in the competitive 125cc scooter market.
India’s 125cc scooter segment has witnessed steady growth, as buyers seek better performance without compromising on fuel economy. The TVS Jupiter 125 competes with models from Honda, Suzuki, and Hero MotoCorp, all vying for dominance in this space.
With this dual-tone refresh, TVS is aiming to reinforce the Jupiter’s standing as a reliable, stylish, and tech-savvy offering.
