Tata Motors is planning to reveal an updated iteration of its popular Nexon EV electric vehicle on May 11th. This new car, called the Nexon EV Max, offers a larger battery pack and many other updates, most of which are still not revealed by the company.
Prior to its official launch, Tata gave a glimpse into the list of car designs and features in a teaser. Teaser reveals that Nexon cars are equipped with new illuminated gear selectors with different driving modes. It also shows the adjustable regenerative brake switch, auto-hold feature, and electronic parking brake controls near the gear selector dial. Another teaser confirms a semi-digital instrument cluster and a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen on Nexon EV Max.
The Nexon EV Max may offer a 40kWh battery pack compared to the standard EV model's 30.2kWh battery. The standard Nexon EV's current Ziptron powertrain provides a maximum output of 129 PS and a peak torque of 245 Nm.
With the bigger battery pack, a better range delivery by the EV, and speculations are Nexon EV Max’s range is also expected to go up to 400km with a full battery. Nexon EV Max is also expected to get fast-charging support. The official announcement about the pricing of the car is yet not made by the company yet.
