News Synopsis

This week, SpaceX announced the launch of a Starlink internet service option aimed at RV owners. According to CNBC's Michael Sheetz, the company is introducing a $25 monthly fee for customers who want to relocate their satellite dishes. The additional charge will be added to the base Starlink service price of $110 per month and billed in one-month increments. Users will be able to pause and restart their service whenever they want.

According to a press release, the internet service will not be active while the RV is in motion and will be limited to "as-needed at any destination where Starlink provides active coverage."

"Starlink prioritizes network resources for users at their registered service address. When you bring your Starlink to a new location, this prioritization may result in degraded service, particularly at times of peak usage or network congestion," SpaceX said.

Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX, has previously stated that the company is working to make it possible to use the service while in motion. It's unclear whether users will have to sign up for the service or if SpaceX will start charging everyone who tries to move their satellite dish.
