Snapchat Internally Testing Its Paid Subscription, Snapchat+

Snapchat is reportedly testing a paid subscription feature called Snapchat+, Snap spokesperson Liz Markman confirmed. The paid subscription on Snapchat is said to provide users with early access to other features, not just those announced in the app.

As per earlier reports, the one-month subscription for Snapchat is expected to cost EUR 4.59, while the users can buy six months plan at EUR 24.99. The one-year subscription is said to cost EUR 45.99 a year.

The spokesperson said that the company is currently busy doing early internal testing of Snapchat+. He also said, “We’re excited about the potential to share exclusive, experimental, and pre-release features with our subscribers, and learn more about how we can best serve our community.”

In addition, the company can offer a one-week free trial to encourage users to pay for subscriptions. Payments are reportedly linked to the user's Play Store account and the service is automatically renewed after the selected interval until the user cancels it.
