Samsung is opening its first store in Metaverse with Samsung 837X, after its flagship New York City store. It has partnered with an ethereum-based virtual world platform, Decentraland. The opening event of the store includes Samsung’s first-ever dance party in the metaverse mixed reality which is hosted by DJ Gamma Vibes.
Samsung 837X is one of the largest brand land takeovers in Decentraland, and it will be open for a limited time only. Samsung is cementing its position in the digital space with the launch of its store. It also announced that customers can now buy and sell non-fungible tokens with the integrated platform which will be available on select smart TV. Samsung has already invested in other related projects, especially through its venture capital arm, Samsung Next.
