Samsung has launched a new variant of its premium foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 W26, which is currently available in China. This edition stands out with satellite calling and messaging capabilities, making it different from the standard Galaxy Z Fold 7. The smartphone comes with 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage, with prices starting at around ₹2,12,000. It combines a premium design with powerful performance, targeting luxury smartphone users.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 W26 brings a striking new design featuring a red and black color combination accented with gold elements, giving it a unique and luxurious appearance. Despite its sophisticated build, the device weighs only 215 grams, maintaining portability. One of the key highlights of this edition is the support for satellite calling and messaging, a feature that’s not available on the regular Galaxy Z Fold 7. Samsung has also given special attention to the packaging, enhancing the overall unboxing experience.
The W26 Edition ships in a custom-designed box that includes a Kevlar protective case, charging cable, and even a charger — accessories that are not included with the standard Galaxy Z Fold 7. In terms of performance, the W26 offers configurations with 512GB and 1TB storage options, both featuring 16GB of RAM. In comparison, the regular Galaxy Z Fold 7’s 512GB version only includes 12GB of RAM, giving the W26 a clear advantage in multitasking and performance.
Alongside the hardware upgrades, the Samsung W26 introduces advanced Galaxy AI features such as Smart Collection, allowing users to drag and organize photos and text in a dedicated workspace for better productivity and convenience. This AI-driven software experience enhances overall usability and sets the W26 apart as a more intelligent and capable foldable device.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 W26 is priced at CNY 16,999 (approx. ₹2,12,000) for the 512GB model and CNY 18,999 (approx. ₹2,36,000) for the 1TB model. Currently, the W series is exclusive to the Chinese market, and Samsung has designed it keeping in mind the preferences of premium users in China.
While there’s no confirmation yet about a global release, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 W26 showcases Samsung’s innovation in merging luxury design, cutting-edge hardware, and next-gen connectivity features into one flagship foldable smartphone.
