Samsung is the last major smartphone brand yet to launch its latest flagship lineup. While fans are eagerly waiting for the Galaxy S26 series, new reports suggest that buyers may have to wait a little longer after the official unveiling to get their hands on the devices.
According to reports, Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S26 series on February 25, 2026, at a Galaxy Unpacked event in San Francisco, USA. For comparison, the Galaxy S25 series was launched on January 22, 2025.
Samsung is likely to open pre-orders on the same day as the launch, but the Galaxy S26 lineup is expected to go on sale around March 11, 2026. This means customers may have to wait nearly two weeks after the launch event to purchase the new phones.
Such a gap is not unusual in the smartphone industry. For instance, the Galaxy S25 series went on sale on February 7, 2025, after its January launch.
Samsung is expected to launch three models in the Galaxy S26 lineup:
Galaxy S26
Galaxy S26 Plus
Galaxy S26 Ultra
The previously rumored Galaxy S26 Edge, which was said to replace the Plus model, has reportedly been cancelled.
All three Galaxy S26 models are expected to feature a new unified camera module, similar to the design seen on the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The top-end Galaxy S26 Ultra may also come with rounded corners.
Galaxy S26 Ultra
6.9-inch M14 AMOLED display
QHD+ resolution
120Hz refresh rate
Built-in privacy display
Galaxy S26 Plus
Rumored 6.9-inch AMOLED panel
Upgrade from the 6.7-inch display on its predecessor
Galaxy S26
Expected to retain a 6.2-inch AMOLED display
Samsung is likely to use its new Exynos 2600 chipset in select regions across all three Galaxy S26 models. In some markets, the phones may be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC.
Samsung is expected to improve image processing for better skin tones and color accuracy, while retaining the quad-camera setup:
200MP primary camera
50MP ultra-wide camera
12MP 3x telephoto camera
50MP 5x telephoto camera
50MP main camera
50MP ultra-wide camera
New 12MP 3x telephoto camera
Samsung has not finalized the pricing of the Galaxy S26 series yet. However, reports suggest that prices may remain unchanged from 2025.
For reference:
Galaxy S25: ₹80,999 (India)
Galaxy S25 Plus: ₹99,999
Galaxy S25 Ultra: Starting at ₹1,29,999
If Samsung maintains the same pricing strategy, the Galaxy S26 series could launch at similar price points.
