Xiaomi is gearing up to expand its popular Redmi Note lineup in India. After introducing the standard Redmi Note 15 earlier this month, the company has now officially confirmed the India launch date of its higher-end models. The Redmi Note 15 Pro series will debut in the country on January 29, bringing premium camera upgrades, improved durability, and powerful performance to the mid-range segment.
Xiaomi has announced that the Redmi Note 15 Pro series will launch in India on January 29. The lineup is expected to include two smartphones — Redmi Note 15 Pro and Redmi Note 15 Pro+. While both models are already available in China and select global markets, Xiaomi has hinted that the Indian variants may feature some changes compared to their international counterparts.
Camera performance appears to be one of Xiaomi’s key focus areas this year. The company has confirmed that the Redmi Note 15 Pro series will feature a 200-megapixel primary camera with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS).
HDR support
AI-assisted image processing
Multifocal portrait modes
4K video recording
This setup suggests Xiaomi is targeting users who want flagship-level camera performance in the mid-range segment.
Xiaomi is also emphasising durability with the Redmi Note 15 Pro series. The smartphones will come with multiple water and dust resistance ratings, including IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K.
Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection
Reinforced internal structure
Improved drop and physical damage resistance
These features make durability one of the standout aspects of the series in its expected price range.
Battery life is another major upgrade in the Pro models.
6,500mAh battery
100W fast charging
22.5W reverse charging
According to Xiaomi, the battery is designed for long-term reliability and daily heavy usage, making this a practical upgrade rather than just a cosmetic improvement over previous generations.
Xiaomi has confirmed the use of the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor, which is likely to power the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ variant.
IceLoop cooling system for better thermal control
Reduced overheating during long gaming sessions
AI Writing tools
AI Speech Recognition
AI Interpreter features
These additions continue Xiaomi’s push toward integrating AI-driven tools into everyday smartphone use.
The Redmi Note 15 Pro series is expected to feature a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a peak brightness of up to 3,200 nits, placing it at the premium end of the mid-range segment.
AMOLED panel
Up to 24GB RAM support (including virtual RAM expansion)
Leaks have already revealed more details about the standard Redmi Note 15 Pro.
MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra chipset
6,580mAh battery
45W fast charging
200MP main camera
8MP ultra-wide sensor
Xiaomi has not officially announced pricing yet. However, based on previous Redmi Note Pro launches, the Redmi Note 15 Pro series is expected to be priced around ₹30,000 in India.
If Xiaomi maintains its traditional pricing strategy, the phones could appeal strongly to buyers looking for a balanced mix of durability, powerful cameras, long battery life, and reliable performance without stretching their budget.
