Redmi 15C Launched : Check Price and Full Specs

Xiaomi has expanded its budget-friendly C-series lineup in India by launching the new Redmi 15C. This smartphone is an upgraded version of last year’s Redmi 14C and brings major improvements in display, battery, and 5G performance. Priced around ₹15,000, the device is set to take on rivals like Realme P4x, Infinix Hot 60i, and Oppo K13. Xiaomi has focused on features that especially matter to young users and first-time 5G buyers.

Design

The Redmi 15C features a plastic back panel with a unique square-style camera module, giving it a fresh look for the budget segment. At the front, it has a waterdrop-style notch. Despite housing a large battery, the phone weighs 211g and measures 8.05mm thick, making it relatively easy to handle. It offers an IP64 rating for protection against light dust and splashes. The device includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and retains the 3.5mm headphone jack — a feature that is disappearing from many phones in this price range.

Large Display

One of the highlights of the Redmi 15C is its massive 6.9-inch HD+ display. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate, delivering smoother gaming and scrolling experiences. The screen offers up to 810 nits of peak brightness, ensuring good outdoor visibility. Xiaomi has equipped the display with TÜV Rheinland certifications for Low Blue Light, Flicker-Free, and Circadian Friendly standards — all aimed at protecting the eyes.

Processor

Powering the smartphone is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 5G chipset, capable of handling daily tasks and light gaming with ease. The phone uses LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage, ensuring fast read/write speeds. Memory can be expanded up to 16GB via virtual RAM, making it a reliable option for multitasking users.

Software

On the software front, the phone runs HyperOS 2 based on Android 15. Xiaomi has confirmed two years of major OS updates and four years of security updates — a strong update policy for the budget segment where long-term support is rare.

Camera

The Redmi 15C features a dual rear camera setup, including:

  • 50MP main sensor (f/1.8)

  • Depth sensor for improved portrait shots

The primary camera captures sharp and vibrant images in daylight. For selfies and video calls, the device comes with an 8MP front camera, which performs well for social media usage.

Big Battery

Battery life is another key strength of the Redmi 15C. The phone packs a 6000mAh battery, offering up to one to one-and-a-half days of backup even with heavy usage. It supports 33W fast charging, and Xiaomi includes the charger in the box. Additionally, the device supports 10W reverse wired charging, allowing it to function like a power bank when needed.

Price and Color Options

The Redmi 15C is available in three color options:

  • Moonlight Blue

  • Dusk Purple

  • Midnight Black

It comes in three storage variants:

  • 4GB + 128GB – ₹12,499

  • 6GB + 128GB – ₹13,999
