Indian fintech company Razorpay has unveiled a new artificial intelligence powered platform designed to transform how businesses manage payment operations. Announced at the FTX 2026 event, the company introduced an AI-native Agent Studio and an Agentic Experience Platform that uses advanced AI agents to automate payment workflows, resolve transaction issues, and deliver real-time insights for online merchants.
Indian fintech leader Razorpay has launched an advanced artificial intelligence platform aimed at transforming how businesses build, manage, and optimise their payment infrastructure. The announcement was made during the company’s flagship event, FTX 2026, where it introduced what it described as the world’s first AI Agent Studio for payments.
The newly launched platform is built using the Claude Agent Software Development Kit (SDK) developed by AI company Anthropic. According to Razorpay, the system enables businesses to deploy intelligent AI agents capable of managing payment operations, identifying transaction issues, and analysing revenue flows across billions of digital transactions in real time.
The company also introduced an Agentic Experience Platform, an AI-powered layer that allows merchants to interact with payment systems using natural language commands instead of traditional dashboards and manual processes.
The initiative highlights Razorpay’s broader strategy of integrating artificial intelligence deeply into financial technology solutions, helping businesses automate operational workflows while improving efficiency and accuracy.
During the launch event, Harshil Mathur, co-founder and chief executive officer of Razorpay, explained that the company’s new AI platform represents a major shift in how businesses interact with financial technology systems.
According to Mathur, companies increasingly require intelligent systems that can actively manage operations rather than simply providing software tools.
He stated that the Agent Studio platform enables organisations to deploy AI agents capable of understanding payment flows, monitoring transaction activity, and identifying operational issues in real time.
These agents can also analyse large volumes of transaction data to generate insights, helping businesses make faster and more informed financial decisions.
Mathur emphasised that the company’s long-term vision is to allow businesses to focus on growth and customer engagement while AI agents handle complex payment operations in the background.
He described the new platform as the beginning of a new operating layer for businesses where intelligent systems collaborate with human teams to streamline financial management.

At the centre of Razorpay’s announcement is its AI-native Agent Studio, a platform designed to function as a marketplace for specialised AI agents.
These agents can be deployed by businesses to automate a wide range of digital commerce tasks, including:
Recovering abandoned online shopping carts
Managing failed subscription payments
Responding to customer payment disputes
Forecasting business cash flows
Monitoring transaction patterns
The system is built using the Claude Agent SDK, enabling merchants to deploy intelligent automation tools without needing deep technical expertise.
Razorpay said the goal is to significantly reduce the manual workload associated with running online businesses while improving operational efficiency.
By automating repetitive processes, businesses can focus on strategic activities such as product development, marketing, and customer engagement.
According to Razorpay, its AI agents are designed to actively intervene in payment workflows when issues arise.
For example, if a customer abandons an online purchase before completing the payment, the AI system can initiate a follow-up interaction using contextual information from the transaction.
The agent may send a message or even initiate a voice interaction to remind the customer about the pending purchase and encourage them to complete the transaction.

Razorpay also introduced a no-code agent builder, enabling businesses to create custom AI agents by simply defining tasks in natural language. This approach allows companies to automate actions such as payment reminders, dispute management, and financial monitoring without writing complex code.
In addition to Agent Studio, Razorpay introduced the Agentic Experience Platform, an AI-powered interface designed to simplify how businesses manage payment systems.
Instead of navigating traditional dashboards or manually filling out forms, merchants can interact with the platform using natural language instructions.
The system is also powered by AI technology from Anthropic and aims to streamline several operational processes. For instance, businesses can complete onboarding by simply submitting essential information such as PAN details and website information.
The platform also supports automated financial reconciliation by allowing users to upload financial documents, after which AI processes the data and matches settlement records. Payment integrations that previously required hours of coding can now be completed within minutes using AI assisted development tools or no-code workflows.
The new AI platform is part of Razorpay’s broader strategy to advance AI driven payments and conversational commerce. The company has previously demonstrated agentic payment systems in collaboration with the National Payments Corporation of India and OpenAI.
These systems allow users to discover products, compare options, and complete transactions entirely within conversational interfaces.
