At approximately 12:45 PM, PM Modi will inaugurate the Kaynes Semicon Plant at Sanand GIDC in Ahmedabad. This marks a major milestone in India’s push towards semiconductor manufacturing and technological self-reliance.
The facility will begin commercial production with advanced Intelligent Power Modules (IPMs), which are essential components used in automotive and industrial applications. The Kaynes facility becomes one of the first semiconductor plants in India to commence production under the government’s semiconductor mission. It follows the footsteps of Micron Technology, which recently initiated similar operations.
