Chinese smartphone brand OnePlus has confirmed that its upcoming OnePlus 13s will launch with a lifetime display warranty, focusing on solving the long-standing green line issue. The announcement was made through a teaser video that also showcased a new green colour variant of the device.
OnePlus revealed that the OnePlus 13s will come with a lifetime screen replacement warranty, specifically covering the widely reported green line issue. If users encounter the green line problem on their display, they will be eligible for a free replacement—a move that enhances user trust in the brand's display quality.
However, the company clarified that this warranty does not cover external or user-induced damage such as drops or impact-related cracks. The focus remains solely on manufacturing-related issues like the green line defect.
This new warranty policy builds on the company's previous initiative—the “Green Line Worry-Free Solution”—announced in December 2024. As part of this campaign, OnePlus extended lifetime display warranties to all existing devices affected by the green line problem.
The company attributed this customer-focused approach to its advancements in display technology and its goal to offer peace of mind to users dealing with persistent screen issues.
The OnePlus 13s is expected to be the most compact model in the OnePlus 13 series, sporting a 6.32-inch display. The phone is set to launch in India soon, with several specifications already confirmed by OnePlus ahead of the launch.
Despite its smaller size, the device will feature flagship-level performance, thanks to its high-end chipset and display configuration.
Under the hood, the OnePlus 13s will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset—the same processor found in the OnePlus 13. It is expected to come with:
Up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM
Up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage
This powerful combination makes the OnePlus 13s suitable for heavy multitasking, gaming, and content creation on the go.
The 6.32-inch OLED panel is expected to deliver an immersive visual experience with the following features:
FHD+ resolution
120Hz refresh rate (LTPO panel)
Peak brightness of 1,600 nits
HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support
These display features make the OnePlus 13s ideal for streaming, mobile gaming, and outdoor use under bright sunlight.
A notable design change in the OnePlus 13s is the replacement of the brand’s iconic Alert Slider with a new feature called the “Plus Key.” This customisable button will allow users to:
Switch audio profiles
Launch the camera
Activate the flashlight
Record voice memos
Translate on-screen text
This change indicates a shift toward increased functionality and personalisation.
In terms of photography, the OnePlus 13s is expected to feature a dual 50MP rear camera setup. The sensors will include:
50MP primary sensor with autofocus and OIS
50MP telephoto lens with OIS
For selfies and video calls, a 16MP front-facing camera is expected.
The OnePlus 13s will be backed by a 6,260mAh battery, offering all-day usage for power users. It will support 80W wired fast charging, ensuring the phone can be topped up in minutes.
