Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL), the FMCG arm of Reliance Industries led by Mukesh Ambani, has strengthened its presence in the personal care and beauty segment by acquiring global rights to iconic international brands including Brylcreem, Toni & Guy, and Badedas, along with UK-based kids’ brand Matey.
Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL), the FMCG arm of Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries Limited, has taken a major step to rapidly expand its footprint in the personal care and beauty segment. The company has acquired global rights to internationally renowned brands Brylcreem, Toni & Guy, and Badedas, while also adding UK-based children’s personal care brand Matey to its portfolio.
Although the financial terms of these acquisitions have not been disclosed, RCPL has clarified that all the brands will be expanded not only in India but also across international markets. The company stated that it has acquired global rights to heritage beauty brands linked to the grooming and bathing segments, reinforcing its long-term FMCG strategy.
Brylcreem is a heritage British hair styling brand with a strong legacy, particularly in men’s grooming and hygiene products. It enjoys widespread recognition in both Indian and global markets.
Toni & Guy is a premium hair care and styling brand that originated as a salon business and later expanded into a wide range of personal care products, catering to both professional and consumer segments.
Badedas is a German personal care brand known for its premium bath and body products made using natural plant extracts, positioning itself strongly in the luxury bathing segment.
Reliance Consumer Products Limited was separated from Reliance Retail and made a direct subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited on December 1, 2025. Prior to this, RCPL had acquired Tamil Nadu’s iconic personal care brand Velvette, which was recently relaunched with a refreshed product portfolio. The new range includes soaps, shampoos, shower gels, body lotions, and talcum powder.
Reliance Consumer is currently among the fastest-growing FMCG companies in India. During the December quarter, the company’s gross revenue rose 60 percent year-on-year to ₹5,065 crore. For FY26 so far, its year-to-date gross revenue has crossed ₹15,000 crore, which is 1.8 times higher than the same period last year.
RCPL has also acquired a majority stake in Udhaiyams Agro Foods, signaling aggressive expansion across both food and personal care categories. By Q3, the company has built over ₹1,000 crore-plus brands, including Campa, Independence, and Good Life. Overall, with the acquisition of global brands like Brylcreem, Toni & Guy, and Badedas, Reliance Consumer has further strengthened its long-term strategy in both Indian and global FMCG markets.
