Following the successful launch of the MG Windsor EV in October last year, JSW MG Motor has now unveiled a more capable variant — the Windsor EV Pro. This new version features a larger battery pack and promises an extended driving range, making it an attractive choice in the growing electric crossover segment.
MG Motor has officially started accepting bookings for the Windsor EV Pro, offering introductory pricing for the first 8,000 customers. The EV Pro is priced at:
₹17.49 lakh (ex-showroom, including battery)
₹12.50 lakh (ex-showroom, with battery rental under BaaS)
For customers opting for the Battery as a Service (BaaS) module, MG is charging ₹4.50 per km, compared to ₹3.50 per km for the standard Windsor model. On launch day alone, MG received over 15,000 bookings, highlighting strong market interest.
While the Windsor EV Pro retains the design language of the standard variant, it features a new “Pro” badge on the tailgate for visual distinction. It is offered in three colors:
Ceadon Blue
Glaze Red
Aurora Silver
Inside, the cabin gets a luxurious upgrade with dual-tone ivory interiors, maintaining MG’s emphasis on premium styling.
The Windsor EV Pro is powered by a 52.9 kWh battery, borrowed from the MG ZS EV, delivering a claimed range of 449 km on a full charge. The electric motor remains a front-wheel-drive permanent magnet synchronous (PMS) motor producing:
134 bhp
200 Nm of torque
Top speed: 170 kmph
0–100 kmph in 8.6 seconds
This makes the EV Pro not just efficient, but also quick off the line.
This new variant is only available in the Essence Pro trim, offering a richer feature list and better performance than the standard model with the 38 kWh battery. Buyers will enjoy a more tech-loaded experience with additional driver-assist features and more driving flexibility.
The Windsor EV Pro gains a significant tech upgrade with the addition of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), likely including:
Adaptive cruise control
Lane departure warning
Automatic emergency braking
Forward collision warning
Additionally, it introduces Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology, allowing users to power external devices using the car’s battery — a first in the Windsor lineup.
MG has retained all the premium features that made the standard Windsor EV a hit, such as:
15.6-inch infotainment touchscreen
Ventilated front seats
Rear seats with 135° recline
9-speaker Infinity sound system
Wireless phone charging
These features ensure both the driver and passengers have a luxurious and connected driving experience.
Safety remains a priority in the Windsor EV Pro, which comes equipped with:
Six airbags
Electronic Stability Control (ESC)
Hill start assist & hill descent control
Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
Electronic parking brake with auto hold
Rear parking sensors
360-degree camera system
These enhancements make the EV Pro not only smarter but also significantly safer for families and city driving.
