Bookings for the Grand Vitara Phantom Blaq can be made online or at authorised NEXA dealerships across the country. Within the mid-size SUV segment, this special edition competes directly with the Kia Seltos X-Line, Skoda Kushaq, and Volkswagen Taigun finished in Carbon Steel Grey Matte.
The Phantom Blaq Edition is available only in the top-spec Alpha+ strong-hybrid variant of the Grand Vitara. It marks the debut of a matte black exterior finish, a first for any Maruti Suzuki model in India.
The Grand Vitara Phantom Blaq Edition stands out with a distinct matte black paint job, complemented by:

Blacked-out front grille
17-inch gloss black alloy wheels
This all-black aesthetic gives the SUV a more premium, stealthy, and performance-oriented look compared to the regular variants.
Inside, the special edition retains the standard Grand Vitara’s layout but adopts a full-black interior theme. The cabin features:
Perforated faux leather seats
Subtle champagne gold highlights
Ambient lighting for a premium feel
The Phantom Blaq Edition is packed with advanced features, including:
8-way powered driver seat

Under the hood, the Phantom Blaq Edition uses a 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder strong-hybrid petrol engine based on the Atkinson cycle, sourced from Toyota. It delivers 115 hp and is paired with an e-CVT automatic transmission.
Maruti Suzuki claims an impressive fuel efficiency of 27.97 kmpl, making it one of the most fuel-efficient SUVs in its class.
While the Phantom Blaq is limited to the strong-hybrid variant, the standard Grand Vitara range also offers:
1.5-litre, 4-cylinder mild-hybrid petrol engine producing 103 hp and 135 Nm
Transmission options include 5-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic
ALLGRIP Select AWD option available on manual variants
Fuel efficiency ratings for the mild-hybrid variants are:
21.11 kmpl (manual)
20.58 kmpl (automatic)
19.38 kmpl (manual AWD)
Since its launch, the Grand Vitara has achieved exceptional success in the mid-size SUV segment, with 300,000 units sold in just 32 months. This strong performance is attributed to its versatile powertrain options – strong hybrid, ALLGRIP AWD, and S-CNG – catering to a wide spectrum of customers.
Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales at Maruti Suzuki India, stated that the Phantom Blaq Edition embodies the brand’s commitment to premium experiences for NEXA customers. He emphasised that the limited-edition model aims to further boost the Grand Vitara’s desirability among discerning buyers who value performance, style, and exclusivity.
While Maruti Suzuki has yet to announce official pricing details, the Grand Vitara Phantom Blaq Edition is expected to command a premium over the standard Alpha+ strong-hybrid trim due to its exclusive design and limited availability. Bookings are now open both online and at NEXA dealerships nationwide.
