Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch its first fully electric SUV, the Maruti e Vitara, in India on December 2, 2025. With premium interiors, modern design, long-range battery options, and advanced safety features, the e Vitara marks Maruti’s entry into the global EV market.
Maruti e Vitara is emerging as a Make-in-India electric SUV with global ambitions. The vehicle was first showcased at Auto Expo 2025 and is planned for export to over 100 countries.
On August 26, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the localized hybrid battery electrode production facility at Maruti’s Hansalpur plant. On the same day, the first batch of e Vitara for export was flagged off, and official exports began from Pipavav Port on September 1.
