Union Minister for Communications, Jyotiraditya Scindia, officially unveiled ‘Innovate to Transform’ as the central theme for the ninth edition of the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025, scheduled from October 8 to 11 at Delhi’s Yashobhoomi Convention Centre.
Speaking at the announcement event, Jyotiraditya Scindia emphasized that IMC 2025 will serve as a key platform for domestic industries, international investors, global manufacturers, and Indian consumers.
“IMC-2025 will provide significant exposure for domestic industries, global manufacturers, international investors, and Indian consumers,” he said.
He added that the theme,
“underscores and articulates the idea that innovation has always been at the heart of India’s journey of transformation, and it serves as the guiding compass of the nation’s progress.”
Scindia also underscored India’s advancement in technological capabilities, stating:
“Today’s India has developed DSS capabilities – Designing in India, Solving in India, and Scaling from India – reflecting the country’s growing self-reliance and global competence in technology and innovation.”
Alongside the theme announcement, the revamped SancharMitra Scheme was also launched by the minister. Initially a pilot project, it has now evolved into a scalable, incentive-based national program.
The scheme is aimed at mobilizing India’s Yuva Shakti—student volunteers—as ambassadors for telecom awareness, digital empowerment, and cybersecurity.
“We are transforming Sanchar Mitra into a vision that symbolizes India’s leadership in the four Ds – Democracy, Demography, Digitization, and Delivery,” Scindia said.
Dr. Neeraj Mittal, Chairman DCC and Secretary (Telecom), Department of Telecommunications (DoT), emphasized the growing global engagement with IMC:
“Our Prime Minister has consistently emphasized that technology will be the driving force in achieving the vision of a Viksit Bharat by 2047.”
