In a significant move aimed at strengthening economic ties, India and the United States have launched a dedicated Trade Facilitation Portal designed to enhance collaboration between exporters and importers from both countries. The initiative is expected to simplify trade processes, improve market access, and accelerate progress toward ambitious bilateral trade goals.
Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal described the newly launched platform as a major step forward in fostering deeper trade engagement between India and the United States.
Addressing the virtual launch event, he emphasized the importance of digital platforms in modern trade ecosystems. He stated, “Delighted to virtually address the launch of the India-USA Trade Facilitation Portal. It is a forward-looking initiative that will enable direct engagement between Indian exporters & US importers, providing greater opportunities to further deepen our bilateral trade partnership.”

The portal was formally launched by Vikram Misri along with India’s Ambassador to the United States Vinay Kwatra.
