Hyundai Motor India Limited has officially entered the commercial mobility segment with the launch of its new Prime Taxi Range, designed specifically for taxi drivers and fleet operators looking for better mileage, lower running costs and reliable performance.
Hyundai Launched Prime Taxi Range: Hyundai has announced major relief for taxi and fleet operators. Hyundai Motor India Limited has officially entered the Indian commercial mobility segment with the launch of its new Prime Taxi Range. This lineup has been specially developed keeping taxi drivers and fleet owners in mind, ensuring better earnings, lower expenses, and dependable performance.
The new taxi range includes Prime HB (Hatchback) and Prime SD (Sedan). Both models have been designed specifically for commercial applications.
Hyundai’s focus is on users whose livelihood depends on vehicle uptime, low maintenance costs, and good fuel efficiency.
Both Prime HB and Prime SD feature Hyundai’s proven 1.2-litre Kappa 4-cylinder engine, available with petrol and CNG options.
The CNG variant significantly reduces operating costs and increases per-kilometre profit, making it a major benefit for taxi operators.
The starting price of the Hyundai Prime HB is ₹5,99,900, while the Prime SD starts at ₹6,89,900.
Bookings can be made at all Hyundai dealerships across the country for just ₹5,000, making it easy even for new or small taxi operators to get started.
Hyundai has not compromised on safety and comfort in the Prime Taxi Range.
These vehicles come equipped with:
6 airbags
Rear AC vents
Electric ORVMs
Steering-mounted controls
Front and rear power windows
Rear parking sensors
Central locking
Rear defogger
Together, they make travel safer and more comfortable for both drivers and passengers.
The Prime Taxi Range includes a company-fitted speed-limiting function, capped at 80 km/h.
Other features include:
3-point seat belts
Emergency stop signal
Adjustable headrests
These ensure compliance with commercial safety norms.
Hyundai claims that:
Prime SD delivers 28.40 km/kg (CNG)
Prime HB delivers 27.32 km/kg (CNG)
This high mileage significantly reduces fuel expenses, helping taxi drivers increase their daily earnings.
Hyundai offers a special extended warranty for the 4th and 5th year, covering up to 1,80,000 km.
The company further claims that maintenance costs will be around 47 paise per kilometer, reducing the total ownership cost considerably.
Hyundai is also offering financing options of up to 72 months, reducing EMI burden. Additionally, Hyundai’s wide service network, trained fleet-care advisors, and fast service support ensure that taxi operators can keep their vehicles running with minimal downtime.
Hyundai says that through Prime HB and Prime SD, the company aims to offer a new, trustworthy, cost-efficient earning solution in the commercial mobility segment — making this launch a strong and potentially long-term profitable deal for taxi drivers and fleet owners.
