Rockstar Games will begin GTA 6 pre-loading on November 10 ahead of its November 19 launch. Here are India timings, storage requirements, editions, prices and preparation details.
Rockstar Games has announced that players will be able to pre-download Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) from November 10, ahead of its official release on November 19. The early download facility will be available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S users.
The pre-load is expected to require up to 212GB of storage. Downloading the game in advance will help players avoid lengthy downloads on launch day. However, the game will remain locked until its official release.
The pre-download schedule differs between PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
According to the PlayStation Blog, PS5 users will be able to start downloading GTA 6 from midnight on November 10 according to their local time. Therefore, players in India can begin pre-loading at 12 am IST on November 10.
For Xbox Series X and Series S users, the global pre-load window will open at midnight GMT on November 10. This means Indian players will be able to download the game from 5:30 am IST on November 10.
Although the game can be downloaded beforehand, players will only gain access after the official launch on November 19.
GTA 6's pre-load is expected to occupy up to 212GB of storage space. The exact requirement may vary depending on the platform and device.
Rockstar's preparation guidelines recommend that PS5 players keep at least 212GB of free storage before the pre-download begins. Players with limited console storage may need to delete unused games or consider expanding their available storage.
Meanwhile, code-in-box physical editions for PS5 and Xbox Series X and Series S are expected to reach retailers from November 12.
GTA 6 is the upcoming instalment in Rockstar Games' popular open-world crime franchise. The game takes players to Leonida, a fictional US state inspired by Florida, with Vice City serving as one of its major locations.
The storyline revolves around two central characters, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. Their relationship and involvement in criminal activities form the core of the narrative.
Lucia is expected to become the first female protagonist in a mainline GTA title in the modern 3D era. Rockstar's promotional material has also showcased different environments, characters and activities across the fictional state of Leonida.
Rockstar has outlined two editions of GTA 6: Standard and Ultimate. Both offer the base game, while the Ultimate edition includes additional content.
The Standard edition includes the base game. Customers who pre-order before launch will also receive the Vintage Vice City Pack.
The bonus content includes a classic Vapid Stanier vehicle, a personal garage, exclusive outfits and hairstyles for Jason and Lucia, and a weapon skin inspired by Tommy Vercetti.
The Ultimate edition offers additional content beyond the base game. It includes extra vehicles, weapons, outfits, tattoos, hairstyles, missions, businesses and customisation options.
Players will also receive exclusive content such as classic vehicles, vehicle modification shops, special weapons and additional activities associated with Jason and Lucia's story.
The Standard and Ultimate editions are available for pre-order in India at the following prices:

New PlayStation users should create an account and sign in on their consoles. Existing users should verify their login credentials and ensure their account information is updated.
Players can purchase GTA 6 through the PlayStation Store or participating retailers. They should review the available editions and prices before selecting their preferred version.
PS5 users should ensure that at least 212GB of storage is available before November 10. Removing unused games and exploring compatible storage expansion options can help make room for the download.
Players can also personalise their gaming experience with PlayStation accessories, including the DualSense Edge wireless controller, Pulse wireless headset and Pulse Elevate wireless speakers.
Rockstar will also offer printable GTA 6 cover art and a map of Leonida as free digital downloads through its official website on November 19.
A physical, double-sided poster will be available through the Rockstar Store shortly after the game's release. It will cost $0.99 when purchased separately or be provided as a complimentary gift with any store purchase.
Conclusion
With pre-loading scheduled for November 10, GTA 6 players can download the game ahead of its November 19 release. Indian gamers should check their console's pre-load timing, arrange sufficient storage and complete their pre-orders in advance to prepare for launch day.
