Google has officially confirmed its next mid-range smartphone, the Pixel 10a, announcing that global pre-orders will begin on February 18, 2026. Ahead of the official launch, the company has also confirmed that the device will be available via Flipkart, alongside Google’s own online store.
Flipkart has already launched a dedicated microsite teasing the Pixel 10a, offering the first official look at the upcoming A-series phone and confirming its retail availability in India.
The confirmation of Pixel 10a availability follows a short teaser video shared by Google on YouTube. In the teaser, Google showcased the Pixel 10a in a blue colour and invited users to sign up for an “exclusive offer” ahead of pre-orders.
Notably, the Pixel 10a is arriving earlier than last year’s Pixel 9a, which launched in March, signalling a faster release cycle for Google’s A-series lineup.
While Google has kept most specifications under wraps, Flipkart’s microsite provides the first official glimpse of the Pixel 10a’s design.
Flat metal frame
Signature pill-shaped camera module
Camera island appears more flush with the rear panel
Hole-punch cut-out for the selfie camera on the front
Power and volume buttons positioned on the right edge
The overall design continues Google’s clean and minimalist Pixel language while offering a more seamless rear profile.
Alongside the teaser, industry chatter and leaks suggest multiple colour variants. While Google officially teased the device in a lavender blue shade, believed to be called Lavender, leaks point to additional options:
Obsidian (black)
Fog (light green)
Berry (pink and orange tones)
Google has consistently used distinctive colours to differentiate its mid-range Pixel phones, and the Pixel 10a is expected to follow the same strategy.
The Pixel 10a is tipped to feature:
6.2-inch FHD+ AMOLED display
120Hz refresh rate
Peak brightness of around 2,000 nits
If accurate, this would make the Pixel 10a one of the more compact Android smartphones expected in the market.
Under the hood, the phone is likely to be powered by Google’s Tensor G4 chipset, the same processor used in the Pixel 9a. Reports suggest it could be a slightly “boosted” version to deliver improved performance.
5,100mAh battery (expected)
Battery capacity appears unchanged
Charging speed upgrade is being speculated
While Google has not confirmed charging details, any improvement would be a welcome addition for the A-series lineup.
Camera hardware on the Pixel 10a is expected to deliver the familiar Pixel photography experience:
48-megapixel primary camera
13-megapixel ultra-wide lens
13-megapixel front-facing camera
As with previous Pixel devices, Google is likely to rely heavily on AI-driven image processing rather than focusing purely on higher megapixel counts.
On the software front, the Pixel 10a is expected to ship with the latest Android 16 experience, along with Pixel-exclusive features.
Google has also confirmed plans to expand Quick Share support in 2026, which could make file sharing smoother and more seamless across a wider range of Android devices.
With pre-orders opening on February 18, Google is expected to reveal full specifications, pricing, and launch offers closer to the date. The early Flipkart listing and teaser campaign suggest that Google is positioning the Pixel 10a as a strong mid-range contender with flagship-inspired features in a compact form factor.
