News Synopsis

Lately, the Transport Sector is witnessing a quiet revolution. It has been observed that electrification can do miracles for almost all of our transport options available in the world, from electric bikes to motorbikes to buses to freight trains and even to tractors and heavy trucks. Very soon, there will be no requirement to burn petrol and diesel in an internal combustion engine. This advancement is of extreme importance as electric transport will be crucial in our efforts to effectively tackle climate change. Vehicular emissions could be reduced by around one-fifth if all cars became powered by renewable electricity. By electrifying the car we would also effectively battle the sudden and abrupt surge in oil prices

Electric vehicles have been around for more than 120 years. In the year 1990, Electric Vehicles comprised a third of all cars on the roads of the United States but due to the high cost and massive weight of the batteries they couldn’t become mainstream at that time. Now both the issues have been almost resolved in the form of cheap electricity by solar power and lighter lithium-ion batteries.
