On April 28, 2025, Nothing is set to unveil the highly anticipated CMF Phone 2 Pro alongside its CMF Buds 2 series. The British consumer technology brand will host a special in-person launch event, which will also be streamed live on its official YouTube channel. The event will kick off at 6:30 PM IST, and updates will be shared across Nothing’s social media platforms.
The CMF Phone 2 Pro is a powerful new device from Nothing, equipped with impressive hardware and design upgrades. This device will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro system-on-chip (SoC), which is claimed to offer 10% faster CPU performance and 5% improved graphics compared to the standard Dimensity 7300 chip used in the previous CMF Phone 1.
The phone will feature a triple-camera setup that includes a 50 MP primary camera, an 8 MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50 MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. For design, the CMF Phone 2 Pro will have a dual-tone rear panel with two distinct textures, one in CMF's signature orange color with a combination of gloss and matte finishes, and another in white with a granite-like texture.
Following the modular approach introduced in previous models, the CMF Phone 2 Pro will be compatible with new accessories, including an attachable wallet, back cover, and additional camera lenses. Moreover, it will feature the “Essential Key”, an extra button designed for quick functions like taking screenshots, recording voice notes, and saving them in a dedicated “Essential Space”. The Essential Key utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) to organize content and even create reminders and calendar events.
For mobile gamers, the CMF Phone 2 Pro will support 120 fps gameplay for games like Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). The phone will also have a 1,000Hz touch sampling rate, ensuring better responsiveness and enhanced gaming performance. Additionally, the device is expected to have a 5,000 mAh battery with 33W wired charging support for long-lasting usage.
Alongside the CMF Phone 2 Pro, Nothing will also launch the CMF Buds 2 series consisting of the Buds 2, Buds 2a, and Buds 2 Plus. The CMF Buds 2 will be equipped with 11 mm custom drivers and Dirac Opteo sound tuning for a superior audio experience. They will also feature Nothing Ultra Bass Technology 2.0 for deep, clear sound.
The earbuds are expected to support Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity, enabling dual device pairing. They are also likely to be compatible with Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair for seamless pairing with compatible devices. For noise cancellation, the Buds 2 will offer 48 dB hybrid active noise cancellation (ANC), along with six microphones — three on each earbud. These buds will feature Clear Voice Technology 3.0 for better clarity during calls and will support spatial audio for an immersive listening experience.
The CMF Buds 2 will be IP55-rated, ensuring they are resistant to both water and dust. The charging case is expected to have an IPX2 rating, protecting it from water splashes. Though detailed specifications for the Buds 2a and Buds 2 Plus remain undisclosed, they are expected to share many features with the Buds 2, with minor variations.
