Blinkit has completed one year of operating its ambulance service, achieving a major milestone in emergency healthcare by responding to more than 4,200 cases across Gurugram and parts of Delhi NCR.
Blinkit said its dedicated ambulance service has handled over 4,200 cases in its first year, highlighting how quick-commerce capabilities can also strengthen critical medical support.
The update was shared on X by Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa, who said the service began in Gurugram with one mission — faster access to emergency assistance when “every minute counts.”
Since launch, the Blinkit ambulance service has:
Responded to 1,810 time-sensitive medical emergencies
Expanded to 25 ambulances
Covered most of Gurugram and Manesar
Reached select locations in Delhi including Lajpat Nagar, Malviya Nagar, Patel Nagar, Dwarka and Greater Kailash
Dhindsa shared that Blinkit ambulances reached patients within 10 minutes in 87% of cases, reinforcing the platform’s commitment to rapid intervention.
He added, "We have trained and deployed 70 paramedics from the Blinkit Academy in our ambulances," underscoring the investment made in skill development and readiness.
Dhindsa described emergency healthcare as a sector where precision is essential and mistakes can be costly. He noted that building this service required infrastructure, capital and constant review, "especially when decisions need to be made in seconds, often with incomplete information."
Reflecting on the past year, he shared an important takeaway:
"Expanding responsibly sometimes means saying no - to moving too fast and to launching areas or cities before systems are ready."
Blinkit plans to expand gradually, investing heavily in paramedic training and operational systems while thanking on-ground teams for carrying the responsibility every day.
Designed to reduce emergency response times
Launched in Gurugram in 2024

As the initiative evolves, Blinkit aims to develop a world-class emergency response framework, prioritizing preparedness and responsible scaling.
