Amazon has expanded its smart display portfolio in India with the launch of two new devices — the Echo Show 11 and the fourth-generation Echo Show 8. Positioned as smarter, better-sounding and more capable home assistants, the new Echo Show models are designed to help users manage daily routines, entertainment and smart home controls from a single screen.
Amazon is positioning the Echo Show 11 and Echo Show 8 as everyday home companions that reduce friction in daily life. With a combination of touch controls and hands-free Alexa voice commands, the devices can manage calendars, shopping lists, reminders, routines and compatible smart home products with minimal effort.
One of the biggest changes is the refreshed design. Both devices now feature edge-to-edge glass displays with slimmer bezels, offering a more modern and premium appearance compared to earlier Echo Show models sold in India.

Echo Show 8 (Gen 4): 8.7-inch HD display
According to Amazon, the updated design enables a larger viewing area without increasing the overall bulk of the devices.
With Alexa built in, users can:
Control compatible smart lights, plugs, cameras and appliances
Set up personalised routines
Manage calendars and reminders
Create shopping and to-do lists
Ask for recipes and cooking guidance
Amazon says the goal is to simplify everyday tasks so users can focus on more important things.
“Whether coordinating family schedules, managing a smart home, or staying on top of a busy day, Echo Show 11 and Echo Show 8 are designed to help,” said Dilip R.S., Director and Country Manager, Amazon Devices India.
“These devices serve as home assistants, helping customers stay organised and connected, while adapting seamlessly to the way they live and taking care of routine tasks so they can focus on what matters most.”
Powering the new Echo Show devices is Amazon’s custom AZ3 Pro silicon, paired with the Omnisense sensor platform.
Omnisense combines multiple sensors, including:
13-megapixel camera
Audio input
Ultrasound
Wi-Fi radar
Accelerometer

Together, these enable Alexa to better understand what’s happening in a room.
Users can create routines where:
Lights turn on automatically when someone enters a room
Temperature-based actions activate when the room gets too warm
All routines can be configured through the Alexa app.
Both Echo Show 11 and Echo Show 8 are designed for all-day use.
