The study involved monitoring over 700 patients for a total of 85,000 hours, allowing Dozee’s EWS to demonstrate its powerful capacity to replace traditional manual patient monitoring with a proactive, technology-based solution. The system, by alerting medical personnel up to 16 hours before a critical health event, enables healthcare providers to act preemptively, significantly improving patient recovery rates.

Healthcare professionals reported a significant improvement in efficiency, with an estimated 2.4 hours saved per staff member per day. The research assessed metrics such as alert sensitivity, specificity, and the average time from initial alert to deterioration, along with healthcare practitioners' activities.

In India, continuous monitoring is generally available only in ICUs, leaving general wards — where the majority of patients reside — at risk for unmonitored clinical deterioration. Dozee’s EWS bridges this gap, with continuous monitoring of vital indicators like heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure.

The study results showed that Dozee’s technology successfully predicted patient deterioration in 67% to 94% of cases, allowing early intervention and improved outcomes. This proactive approach holds the potential to save approximately 2.1 million lives per year and reduce healthcare costs by nearly ₹6,400 crore.
