News Synopsis

Ola claims to have sold over 1 lakh units of its newly released S1 and S1 Pro scooters in the restricted two-day purchase window. Ola's CEO Bhavish Agarwal confirmed the information with a tweet. The e-scooters were supposed to go on sale on September 8 but were delayed by one week due to some technical issues. Ola's Series S e-scooters now include the S1 and S1 Pro versions. Plans call for the start of deliveries in 1,000 communities in October of this year. With a 2.98-kWh battery pack, the entry-level S1 is capable of high speeds of 90 kilometers per hour and an all-electric range of 121 kilometers on a single charge. State governments offering rebates on electric vehicles may cause the cost of these vehicles to fall even more.
