The export to Iran has fallen to 12.63 million kilograms in the first seven months of 2021 from 21 million kilograms in 2020. The export to China also fell down to 3.29 million kilograms from 5.74 million kilograms in the first seven months of 2020. It is estimated that the exports to the United Kingdom have also fallen  3.12 million kilograms this day.

The increase in exports can be seen only in the United States and the United Arab Emirates. The Secretary-General of India Tea Association has claimed it as a reason for a fall in the exports of Iran. Another reason for the shortage in export is the cost of shipping containers that has been increased during the covid time period.
