News Synopsis

Project PM Gatishakti which was announced on Independence Day this year is finally going to be launched. The project will take place under the guidance of 16 ministries. It will be launched this Wednesday, October 13, 2021. The Centre government has approached different state governments as well to contribute to this project and to improve synergy. The ministries need to work together and have regular coordination throughout the whole planning and utilization of the programme. 

The programme will be launched on Wednesday and ahead will follow the utilization of everything that is going on. The Geographic Information System will provide around 200 layers of geospatial information as well. The 3D images will be helpful in showing the actual condition on the ground.  Data related to programmes will be uploaded on a platform prepared by the Bhaskaracharya National Institute of Space Applications and Geoinformatics (BISAG-N), by different 16 ministries. According to the government sources, the data up to 2020 has been uploaded to the platform and the same process will happen for future projects as well.
