News Synopsis

Digital services firm Jio Platforms on Friday announced a $15 million investment in Silicon Valley-based tech startup Two Platforms to acquire a 25% stake on a diluted basis completely.

Founded by Pranav Mistry, former President and CEO of Samsung Technology and Advanced Research, Two Platforms is an artificial reality company focused on creating immersive and interactive AI experiences.

After the text and speech, Two believes that the next chapter in artificial intelligence (AI) will be visual and interactive. Its artificial reality platform enables real-time AI voice and video calls, digital people, immersive space, and realistic lifelike games.

The company plans to apply interactive AI technology first to consumer applications, then to entertainment and games, and then to enterprise solutions such as retail, services, education, health, and wellness.

Two will work with Jio to accelerate the adoption of new technologies and develop disruptive technologies such as AI, Metaverse and mixed reality.
