News Synopsis

Edtech firm Toprankers has raised $4 million (approximately Rs 31.3 crore) in a Series A funding round from consumer fund Sixth Sense Ventures. The company plans to use the funds to enhance existing products, develop new products, expand training mix centers and grow its marketing reach and technology platform, Toprankers CEO Gaurav Goel said in a statement.

The CEO said in a statement, “More than 15 million students appear for Grade 12 every year, with around 10% of them attempting for engineering and medical. The rest 90% are not clear about their career choices, we want to help the 90% segment in making a clear decision about their career and offer the right preparation material for a brighter future.”

Toprankers claims to have helped over 2 lakh students in their careers to date and aims to serve 10 lakh students over the next three years. Toprankers work outside of engineering and medicine, with a focus on undergraduate and graduate programs in law, judicial services, management, design, fashion, and architecture.
