Astronaut makes Tacos With The Chilies Grown In Space

Astronaut Megan McArthur has recently tweeted about the Tacos made with the chilies grown in the space. With this, the astronauts have finally tested the chilies that were grown in space only. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration has expressed that the experiment was the most critical in all that they have performed till now. Megan McArthur, an astronaut at the space station shared the pictures of the Tacos and quoted them as the best Tacos. 

According to NASA chili was selected because of its several key nutrients and for being a good source of vitamin C. Not only this, but it will also add a variety to the food that the crew consumes at the space station even though they would still need to depend on the packed food. The chilies were planted inside a Science Carrier. The carries had baked clay which helps the roots to grow. It also had a controlled release of fertilizers that was specially formulated for peppers.
