Adani Group to establish Data Centre in Mumbai

Adani Group which has established its dominance in various sectors from energy to ports to infrastructure has decided to set up a data centre in Mumbai. AdaniConnex Pvt Ltd, a 50:50 joint venture of Adani Enterprises and EdgeConnex Europe BV, was established as a data centre in February. The newly formed unit will develop, operate, maintain, deal with data centres, information technology (IT)/ information technology-enabled services (ITES)/ cloud, providing services related thereto and undertake activities associated with its infrastructure development including land acquisition and development for the said purpose according to the statement released by the firm’s officials. Adani group has emerged as one of the leading business groups in the nation in the last couple of years. Recently Gautam Adani, who is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the Adani Group replaced Reliance's chairman Mukesh Ambani as the richest man in India. His net worth saw multifold growth last year. This data centre will help the Adani group to build an ecosystem to collect, process, analyse and distribute large amounts of data.
