Tata Power’s net profit rose by 71% in the third quarter

Today, Tata Power released its third-quarter earnings. It registered a net profit of 426 crores, 71% more than what it earned in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year, where it managed to earn a profit of 248 crores. Tata Power CEO & MD Praveer Sinha said: “Tata Power has delivered a strong financial performance for the ninth consecutive quarter. All our business clusters have contributed significantly despite facing pandemic-related challenges, demonstrating tremendous resilience, strength, and agility". The company’s revenue from operations also increased from 7,597 crores to 10,913 crores posting a profit of 44%. After the result was announced, Tata Power shares climbed 1.51% to settle at ₹238.40 apiece on National Stock Exchange.
